This conference is proudly presented by Aramco America and aims to equip mentors with the tools and insights needed to effectively guide an increasingly diverse generation of students.

About me

I have been coaching First LEGO League Challenge Division teams for 10 years. I currently coach a community-based team in Laurel, MD. I am looking for ways to let families know about opportunities to join my team. I often see posts on the MD FLL email list and various Facebook groups for people looking for teams to join.

I wanted to share an idea borrowed from Scouts BSA for letting anyone know where units are located. Their system lets you search by address and age. If adopted each FLL team (Discover, Explore, Challenge), First Tech Challenge, & First Robotics Competition could create a "pin" on the map indicating if they were open to new members & contact information. This can also be used by coaches to locate other teams to arrange scrimmages. I am looking for others' feedback on the idea and hope to propose it to First.
