About me
Alex Bryant is committed to serving his communities. Bryant graduated from the University of Virginia with a degree in Music and a minor in Biology. He currently works for FIRST Chesapeake, an arm of the International FIRST Inspires, a global robotics community preparing young people for the future and the world's leading youth-serving nonprofit advancing STEM education. He is passionate about carving out and preserving public spaces and was proud to advance the representation and inclusion in the Ix Art Park while he was executive director. Bryant is a lover of festivals, growing up adjacent to Richmond where he remembers fondly attending a different festival seemingly every week. Since coming to Charlottesville, he has had a role in some capacity in the Heritage Harvest Festival, Tom Tom Festival, Positive Culture Festival, Soul of Cville Festival, Charlottesville Art Festival, Psychedelic Art Festival, and the Charlottesville Renaissance Festival. In addition to volunteering web-design services for entrepreneurs and nonprofits, Bryant is secretary for the African American Teaching Fellows, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Central Blue Ridge.
