About me
Adam is co-founder and Director of Education at Vector Space, a community makerspace in Lynchburg, Virginia. He is an engineer by education, and since leaving his desk job, has become a practicing engineer as well.
He loves making things and educating others to make things for themselves and their community. He has led a variety of maker education projects, including space balloon launches, custom bike hacking, autonomous boat building, bluetooth speaker making, and more.
He has presented at various maker events, showcasing a variety of inventions: a bike powered game of Mario Kart, a robot that paints to the tune of a piano, and a collection of creations that demonstrate the principles of classical mechanics, like his unfair tug-of-war.
Adam’s educational philosophy is based on the connection between theory and practice, recognizing that in order to teach you have to learn, and in order to learn you have to teach.
